Christmas 2011

Yes, I know it February, but I'm trying to get caught up on my posts!  Christmas was wonderful!  One of the best parts of the day, is just hanging out together in our pajamas.  Presents were amazing, food was delicious, and we all had fun playing with my new video camera when we hooked it up to the TV.  Lot's of pictures and lots of wonderful memories.

Best $3 I ever spent...she never let the bottles out of her sight!

Joshy's favorite gift was his ipod...he kept "face timing" B  :)

SAA Valentine's Dinner

Last Friday, we all got together for a Valentine's Dinner put on by our SAA Group.  (Student Advocate Association)  We ate a super fancy, although somewhat small, fabulous meal at The Polo Grill at Utica Square.  The entire night was filled with laughter, amazing and special friends, more laughter, followed by tears of laughter.  I loved it!

My camera did not take great pictures in the low light, so the pictures below are via Janelle Norman...Thanks friend!

Seriously love them!!

SAA Ladies!

Perfect!

Jon and Airika

"They" told me Medical School would be the hardest time of my life...Well...All I have to say is that the Lord knew what he was doing when he brought these people into my life!  I will love them forever...and I can't wait for Jon to tell me more stories about Airika  :)

18 Months

Hadley Joy, you are 18 Months old!  You are such a big girl too...and let me tell you why!

At your last appointment, your stats were:

Weight:  23 pounds 8 oz.  38%
Height:  32 inches  58%
Head:  46 1/2 cm  48%

You can still fit into some 12-18 month clothes, but some of the sleeves are a little short on you.  We are moving right on into 18-24 month clothes!  You are growing so fast!  Plus, I just bought you these adorable coral skinny jeans and I can't wait for you to wear them!

This little photo shoot was not one of our bests.  Mommy was getting frustrated with her camera, and you were getting crazy with the balloons, so we both had a little bit of a meltdown.

You are getting crazy with your vocabulary.  You are actually saying small sentences, and you do it on your own!  Some of the fun things you are saying now:

Lufv u momma (Love You Momma...but I love how you put an "f" in there :)
Punzel (Rapunzel)
Rella/Ci-Lowa (Cinderella)
No, um um, No (You get that from Mommy :)
Yummy Tummy
HEY MINNIE
MICKEY MOUSE!  (I can not wait to take her to Disney World...Ross?!?)

You are the politest little girl I know.  It never fails, every time I hand you something, you say "Thank you."  When we picked you up from the babysitters last Friday night, she went on and on about how polite you were, always saying "thank you."...You make Mommy so proud.

Every time we sit down at the dinner table to eat, you always say "hand" and reach for our hands so we can pray before we eat.  It is absolutely precious.  Before breakfast the other day, I asked you to say "Thank you Jesus" for our prayer....You tried....You said, "Thank you Juicy."...Not quite there but pretty close.  :)

You have been sick with two ear infections since the beginning of the year.  I feel so bad for you, but you really are a trooper!

You love watching Mickey Mouse Club House...every time it comes on you scream, "Miiickkkkkey Mouse!"  You other favorite show is Bubble Guppies.  You have now combined them and call them, "Minnie Guppies."

You are fascinated with Mommy and Daddy's iphone.  Every time you see it you say "phone, phone, phone"...followed by "elmo song?"  At first it was ok to let you hold my phone because you couldn't do anything to it.  THEN you figured out if you press the round button, your picture will pop up.  THEN you figured out (without us teaching you, I might add) how to drag the arrow with your cutie patootie finger across the screen and unlock it...From there the possibilities are endless!  You have changed ring tones, changed languages, sent daddy a text, deleted apps...I could go on and on.  Nevertheless, we monitor you more closely with our phones, and you are restricted to "elmo song."

You are such a peach!  We could never have dreamed of a more perfect fit into our family!  You are loved!

Love, Mommy and Daddy

More and More Practice

Hadley makes such a beautiful subject and she makes photographing her fun!  Not much talk in this post...mainly just practice pictures!

One of my favorites because of the little curl on the front of her head  :)

When wanting to capture real life, day to day, moments, I guess you have to take the good in with the bad.  Hadley looks precious as she watches her show intently...and then there are those greasy hand prints on the TV cabinet....lovely.

I fee like she is growing up so fast, and I want to capture all the "little" things she does, while she is still, well, little!

Angry Eater

No matter how much time and effort I put in at the gym, it always seems to come back to food!  The last two weeks have been a bit slow and I kinda was in a slump.  For one reason or another, my trainer was unable to make it to our sessions, so for pretty much two weeks I just did cardio.  Let me tell you something...Cardio Is Boring.  I enjoyed it at first and I am getting better and able to go harder and longer, but it just gets boring sometimes.

You know, when they say you are an "emotional eater" you think of a sad sappy person crying tears into their bowl of triple chocolate ice cream drenched in peanut butter.  (which kinda sounds good right now)  BUT I have figured out I am an "Angry Eater"...I eat What I want, When I want, and How much I want, when I am angry.  I was angry with my trainer for missing so many sessions...can you see where I'm going with this?  So that in turn contributed to "slump" I was in.

This week we started fresh.  Had a good session on Monday (but I will confess to eating Chinese food for dinner...not just any Chinese...the BEST Chinese food from Mandarin...so it's O.K.)  Today's session was really good.  I worked really hard, always sweating like a beast!  I really like the structure and "routine" of having a trainer.  It feels good to get back into the swing of things.

Here's to Friday's Session!
