Busy Busy Day...

Hadley and I had such a busy, but wonderful day! We started off with the Just Between Friends consignment shop this morning. Let me tell you something, anyone who has ever been to a restaurant with me, knows that I like to "hurry" and "beat" people to the door. Well, some things don't change. This season was the first time I have been to a J B F sale. I went to the one in OKC and Tulsa. My best friend kinda had me fired up before we even entered the building. I had no idea how hardcore these women are. I was ready to throw elbows and yell, "Don't Crowd Me!" After all was said and done, it was well worth it all! Look at all the goodies Hadley got:

I needed sun suits for her, and these were just so precious...

Nothing was over $5 or $6 bucks! And I only bought Gap, Old Navy, Gymboree, or The Children's Place...

After J B F, Hadley and I met our friends for a play date at Color Me Mine. We had such a good time! Hadley even painted her own pottery...and only tried to eat the brush and/or paint a couple times :)

She was super excited! Can't you tell...

Her little purple apron...

Hadley's friends Jai and Hadley :)...

Our playgroup! So fun!

Tally's / Campbell's 1st Birthday

To sum up Tally's in one word...YUM! It's pretty much a hole-in-the-wall diner, and I go specifically for their fries and white gravy! Ross, Hadley, and I met Paul and Natalie and the kids there for dinner tonight, and it sure was worth all the fried calories!

Ross taking a not-so-successful picture of the whole table...

Last Saturday, we celebrated Campbell's 1st birthday. I can't believe she is already one! AND I especially can't believe that that will be Hadley in about 5 months!

Hadley's first Strawberry...

Me and Dane...

What's the latest saying..."The bigger the bow, the better the mommy" ...

We got Campbell a Sing-a-ma-jig for her birthday...I think Paul will be playing with it more than Campbell...

I Love Lovin' You

I love the way you are, what I'm not

I love the way we fit together

I love the end of every day with you

For worse, or for better

Oh I love, I love loving you

6 Months

Hadley bug, you are 6 months old! You are getting so big, mommy can't even believe it! At your 6 month check-up:

  • Weight: 16lbs 6oz

  • Height: 261/4 inches

  • Head: 43 cm

You can roll over both directions now! You sleep on your tummy, with your hands tucked up under you, and your booty pooched in the air. You also do most of your playing on your tummy too. You are figuring out that there are toys you WANT, but CAN'T REACH. You shake your legs as if to propel yourself towards them, but so far, no luck.

You have the sweetest laugh! It is pure preciousness! You laugh all the time now. You are also adding more and more syllables to your repertoire everyday! We have officially started sign language as well. It is going really good. You are starting to pick up on the different signs and learning what they mean. Of course, you can't do any of them yet, but I know you will be soon. Most babies SAY "dada" first....but you will be SIGNING "mommy" FIRST!!!!

You have two little precious teeth coming up in the bottom center. It is so cute, because I can see them really well every time you smile and laugh. We have also started eating real food! You have always been a great eater from a spoon. The first day you ate green beans. The first few bites weren't that bad...

You then started to realize what was on the spoon, really didn't taste that great. You open your mouth really well because I was coming at you with the spoon...but as soon as you realized what was on it, you curled your nose and shut your lips! You are one smart chick!

The next few bites you took were a little more begrudgingly...

You finally broke mommy's heart, when you looked at me with that, "why are you doing this to me" look...

Hadley lookin' like a hot mess...

All in all, I think you did great! The few days to follow were even better! Yesterday, we started squash, and you ate the WHOLE container. (I think you are going through a growth spurt right now!)

Hadley Joy, you are precious! Your mommy and daddy are crazy in love with you! Every night before we lay you in bed, we both hold you tight, kiss your cheek, and pray over you. You are the light of our lives. Your daddy already loves combing/styling your hair and you barely have any! Just wait until he puts your hair in a ponytail, like Papa used to do to Mommy. (Mommy always looked Chinese afterwards because Papa was so strong :) We love you baby! You are our best girl!

I Love Snow Days!

I love the snow!! It is absolutely beautiful outside! It has definitely made for a crazy week though. Ross has been out ALL week for Snow Days. Hadley and I have enjoyed having in home. We decided to layer up, and at least introduce Hadley to her first snow. She enjoyed it at first, until her nose got a little cold...

We were barricaded inside the house, due to the wind and snow drift....

A picture from our window...

If it weren't for our 4 wheel drive jeep, we would have been stuck like this poor guy...

As with snow days, comes a little bit of cabin fever. We haven't left the house in three or four days....sssooooooooooo....

Ross let me cut his hair :)
(this picture is for you B)

Just kidding...I really did cut his hair...I just didn't use a bowl.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

For my first time...I think I did a pretty darn good job. I have attempted to cut Ross' hair in the past; HOWEVER, while I was practicing/getting ready, I accidentally ran the razor through his hair while the razor was off. He quickly said, "YOU'RE DONE" and that was that. (He went to the barber shop after that incident) He was a brave soul, gave me another chance, (Months later, that is) and VIOLA!! What a handsome and trusting husband! I got me a good one!

OKC Weekend

We had a busy busy weekend, and Hadley loved every minute of it. Of course, you know me, I took pictures everywhere we went :)

On Friday night, we went to CHA for their homecoming basketball game. (We went to see the cheerleaders...) Ross was a trooper.

She didn't quite make it through the whole game before falling asleep...

We stayed the night with Nana and Papa...

On Saturday, we went over to Laura and John's.

Hadley's very first Zoo trip 2011...
(It was in January of all months!)

We found a bench with one of those manikins sitting on it...

The funny thing about Joshua is, he is so friendly. I mean SO friendly...everyone is his friend. He has no problem just joining in with any and every other little kid at the zoo. There was a man with his kids standing at the Zoo map, trying to figure out where to go. Joshua walked right up to them, and started looking and listening to the man, as if we were going where they were going. He is such a precious boy!

Joshua and Ben planning our trip...

Joshua was fascinated with the snakes. We even saw one eating a rat...(it was gross)

Benjamin LOVED the turtles. That is all he wanted to see..."where are the turtles?" When we finally saw the turtles, I asked Benjamin if he liked them and he said..."I love him!"
