Hadley's Newest Words...

I am very much a "nickname" type of person, when I talk to the ones I love.  Using terms of endearment such as babe, baby, lovie, my girl, sweet girl, winnice, reuben, etc.

Well...there are certain times that I need my husbands attention, and will call him ROSS!  That has quickly become Hadley's favorite word.  She will walk around the house, "Ross, Ross, Ross" or ride in the cart at walmart, "Ross, Ross, Ross"...which of course makes me laugh and in turn encourages her to keep going.  Ross doesn't particularly care for it, but she needs to learn our "real" names at some point anyways...for safety reason.  :)

Another funny, yet not so funny, word she says is "shirt."  Yet that is not how it comes out.  We are working on the "names" of things with her, as we go through our daily lives.  Ross gets her ready for bed every night, and talks about her "shirts" and "pants" etc.  Well today, she started repeating him...he would say "shirt" and she would say "s***"...he would say "shiRt" and she would say "s***"...needless to say we are working on her "R's"

She is one crazy, tender hearted, full of spunk little girl, and we can not get enough of her!

He Broke Me...

My last workout before Christmas, and it was brutal.  I have been working out with my trainer 3 times a week, for 3 weeks now.  I am loving it!  I love the motivation and accountability factor.  Every workout is hard, but today was just that much harder.

As I have said before, the push that I needed to go join a gym came from The Biggest Loser.  My favorite contestant was Antone...I loved him, and I feel like I can relate to him the best.

Here is a picture of Antone in his prime playing for the NFL...

Growing up, I was always active.  I was thin, fit, and strong...I could tumble and jump...and in my head, I am still that way.  HOWEVER, when I look in the mirror, I don't see "her" anymore.

Antone used to play in the NFL.  After he retired, he let himself get to be over 447lbs.  On one of the "challenges" they had on the show, three current NFL players came to workout with the contestants.  The announcer kept saying "3 NFL players"..."3 NFL players" and Antone later commented that there were 4 NFL players on the field that day, yet nobody saw him as that.  It literally broke my heart, because I knew how he felt.

Whether or not anybody else "sees" me that way, I want to see myself as fit and strong again.  I don't only want to be able to "do it in my head"...I want to teach and most importantly show Hadley how to do a handstand and cartwheels etc.

One of the first episodes where Antone is "broken"...

I will say, my trainer did push me today.  His intention was not to "break" me, but sometimes when I am that spent, as girly as it sounds, the tears start coming.

Even though Antone didn't win The Biggest Loser, he is still my favorite...and he looks really good!

I am encouraged and motivated to keep going!

The Christmas Train

This was our 2nd annual trip to The Christmas Train.  It's so fun walking around this "old western town" all lit up and riding an old steam engine train through the woods.  It is put on by a church here in Tulsa, and they do a wonderful job reminding people about the true meaning of Christmas...the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Group Shot...

I know I put this picture in twice, but it's one of my favorites of Me and Campbell!...

I wonder were they get their "orneriness"????

Jai and Aubrey Robins

One of my beautiful friends makes beautiful babies.  She wanted pictures of her sweet boy Jai, and her baby girl, Aubrey.  We found the "wrap Christmas lights around your baby" idea on Pinterest, and gave it a try.  I didn't promise that they would turn out good, but I would give it my best....and TADA!  I was pleasantly surprised with how they turned out.  I am slowly learning, and still getting frustrated at times when my pictures don't turn out good, but when they do...I feel happy.

Favorite!....

Also a Favorite!...

Benjamin Turns 4

Ahoy Matey!  Benjamin is 4!  We got together to celebrate sweet Benjamin's life with a pirate themed party.

Hadley made them all walk the plank!

Hadley's just one of the boys  :)  What these boys don't know is, that one day soon, instead of playing pirates and swords...they will be having tea and crumpets with Hadley and her stuffed animals...

Ben was pretty stoked with all this presents!

John and Laura took Ben to the toy store for a birthday shopping extravaganza, and the rest of us took Joshua to his basketball game.  He did so well!  I'm one proud auntie.  The Cheering Section...

All day long Benjamin said, "Today is my birthday, and I can do WHATEVER I want because we are celebrating MY birthday today."  So sweet...unfortunately it only lasts for one day.  Happy birthday my Benjamin.  You are loved!

Such a fun night!  A big thank you to Krystina for watching Hadley for us.  She enjoyed her "B" time!
