As a wife of a Medical Student, I have come to "understand" (still working on the "accepting" part) that there are no such things as "Holidays"...there just isn't. So, of course, Ross is scheduled to work Saturday and Monday of this "three day weekend". It was a much needed surprise when he left for work at 6:45 this morning and returned home at 8:30am! We were both so excited to just get to spend time together!
1st stop: Breakfast of Champions...donut holes from QT.
I let Hadley pick out a drink...it was between Spiderman and a Princess Fairy...she chose Spiderman!
Next Stop: The Zoo
She had been talking about the elephants all morning...they are her favorite! Jippeee!
No Zoo trip is complete without a ride on the train...
After the Zoo, we went to lunch at this hole in the wall sandwich/smoothie place recommended by Janelle and Andrew...it was yummy! Then back home so Hadley could take a nap, and Ross and I could watch the 2nd Sherlock Holmes movie.
This evening Andrew, Janelle, and Hadley Marie came over for some football, dress up, and puppy chow!
We also discovered CamWow...
Great day today...More fun tomorrow!
