Hey Hey Hey

Ross is almost done with finals! Yeah! To celebrate the end of the semester, OSU puts on a Holiday Ball. I was really excited about it UNTIL....I went dress shopping! Unfortunately, none of my fancy dresses fit due to my post-baby body. Wonderful! I looked and looked today and found nothing!!

After shopping all day with Hadley and my mom, we went over to Laura and John's so my babies could cheer me up...and they did :)

I tried on a pair of pants that my sister had, and my first thought was "not bad"....my next thought (while trying to sit) was "too tight!"...well, I really wasn't sitting as much as I was reclining because I couldn't bend at my waist! My final thought, while trying to stand was, "I feel like FAT ALBERT!"

Maybe this is why "they" say don't gain too much weight during your pregnancy...I probably agree with them more now, but I promise, every twinkie I ate was well worth it!

Let The Decorating Begin!

Ross and I absolutely LOVE Christmas. This is our fourth Christmas together, and now we have a lovely addition to our family. Since the first year we were married, we have started the tradition of cutting down our own, real live, Christmas tree. This year we went to the Owasso Tree Farm and Hadley got to pick out the most perfect tree! Ross will have 5 weeks off for Christmas this year, and I can't wait! We have so many fun things planned! This is going to be the BEST Christmas ever!

Merry Christmas Hadley! I hope you love you very first Christmas as much as your mommy and daddy do!

From One Mother To Another...

I love my husband. He is the most amazing husband to me, father to Hadley, and spiritual leader of our family. He does so much for Hadley and I! With that said...

Today, Hadley and I went up to school to have lunch with Ross. He is finishing up his first semester of school and finals start tomorrow! (on his birthday) We got there a little early, so Hadley and I went shopping in the OSU Bookstore....

THE SCENE: I have a 4 month old in my arms....three bags on my shoulders...Hadley's coat that I just took off of her in my hand...the item that I was about to purchase in the other hand....getting my wallet out of my purse that is still on my shoulder...paying the woman...collecting another bag...and carrying Subway sandwiches, chips, and cookies for lunch!

Ross gets out of class and we all head over to the tables in the atrium. Ross is holding Hadley at this point. Everything is ready to start eating, except for drinks, so Ross is going to go into the same bookstore that I was just in to get us some...

THE PUNCH LINE: Ross looks at me, hands Hadley to me and says...."I NEED BOTH HANDS TO GET THE DRINKS" To get two CANS of soda...he needs both hands! You can imagine the look on my face as I say, "You're kidding, right?"

I guess it is something only mother's can understand. It is truly amazing what you are capable of doing with no hands or leverage....you may even result to using your feet at times.

He is an amazing daddy, and even though he needs BOTH hands, he works so hard with those hands to provide a good life for his girls...I am nothing but grateful!

I love you, babe!

4 Months

My precious Hadster! You are 4 months old! You had your 4 months doctor's appointment today and you were not happy. You were all smiles until it came time for your shots. Mommy felt so sad that you were hurting and she couldn't do anything to help. We sure did cuddle after the nurse got done though.

You weigh 14 lbs 4 oz and are 24 1/2 inches tall. You are in the 65% for weight and the 60% for height.

We just set up your first Christmas tree and you love looking at all the lights. After your shots today, we came home and you and I cuddled on a blanket under the tree. You have a beautiful red stocking with your name on it.

You are still working on rolling over. Laying on your back, you can roll your legs and hip over to your stomach but you are still having trouble rolling over that bottom arm.

You are grabbing everything now...including mommy's hair! You are starting to grab your toes but you don't hold onto them very long yet.

You are so beautiful mommy can't take her eyes off of you! Your eyes sparkle and shine. Your daddy is so in love with you and you already have him wrapped around your little finger!

You are still the best little sleeper!

You are about to start eating cereal! I can't believe you are already old enough to start eating (other than drinking milk)...especially with a spoon!

I love my sweet Hadley girl. Don't grow up too fast! Please stay mommy and daddy's little girl forever! We love you so much!

Affair Of The Heart II

This past Friday, my mom, Hadley, and I went to the Affair of the Heart in Tulsa. WOW! I never knew how much I loved craft shows until I had a little baby girl to shop for! :)

I got a bunch of cute headbands/bows for Hadley, and a couple of Christmas presents that I can't show yet! Gigi bought Hadley the cute zebra hat. My mom bought some wonderful jewelry pieces and a lot of other neat things. (I didn't get a picture of her findings.)

I am most proud of one of my findings...the suitcase! $10!! It is so cute and I can't wait to use it in photos! Keep checking back because I will be posting some very soon!

I will say the ONE thing that caught every one's eye was......HADLEY! I can't tell you how many people stopped to stare or comment when they saw her. I got many "WOW's" ..."She is Beautiful"..."Look at those cheeks!"..."I will take her as payment!"...I couldn't even make it down one aisle without several people stopping me so they could look at her!

I was holding Hadley in my arms with her head on my shoulders, and I started to hear some women cackling behind me...I turned around and ALL of them were cooing/waving/smiling at my Hadley girl.

I'm sure many parents say this about their children, but I really think my baby may be the most wonderful, beautiful, happy baby in the whole world...I'm just saying :)

A Night On The Town...

Thursday night, Ross, Hadley, my mom, and I went to downtown Jenks for the "Lights On" Event. All the quaint antique shops stay open late, serve cookies and hot apple cider, and all the Christmas lights get turned on for the first time this season! We all had such a good time. I love the holiday season!

Our Little Bear

The first, and probably only time, she will sit in Santa's lap without crying :)

One little girl asked if she could PET Hadley :)
