Cousin Time

One of the wonderful things about living in Tulsa is that we get to spend a lot of time with our family.  We usually get together at least once a week and always have a good time.  Hadley gets to play with her cousins, and we usually end up doing each others hair  :)  Notice Hadley's cutie patootie pigtails!  (They didn't last long.  :(

My beautiful Avery...she loved the pigtail braids...isn't she a cutie!

At some point in the evening, there is always a crazy "stunt" that comes up...whether it be "can you..." or "have you seen..." or "try this...."  Always entertaining.

Hadder bug trying to stay warm.  I searched and searched for the perfect hat for her for winter...I think I found it!  :)

Hadley playing with the Buzz Lightyear that Benjamin let her borrow.  Thanks Ben...Hadley loves it!

All the girls!  Poor Dane is out numbered.

The "stunts" from earlier....This particular evening was, "Can you do a headstand?"

Hadley 16 Months

My precious Hadley Joy.  You are 16 months old!  It is incredible the changes you are going through day to day.

You have several of your molars coming in.  They are causing you a little pain (and I think contributing to your loose bowl movements :)  You are a trooper though.  You are growing nice and strong, but you are still dantity and petite.  You played with mommy's papers and now she can't find your "stats" otherwise I would insert them here.  I do remember you are around the 50% for height and the 33% for weight.

You are a little onery...and when I say a little...I mean you are very onery!  You are starting to push your limits, "looking" at mommy with those "you told me not to do this, but I'm going to do this anyways to see what you do" eyes...and yes, it does get you into trouble.  You are very loud, but I can't fault you for that one...Our voices just "carry"  :)

You officially announce when you have passed gas.  You do it...smile...and say "tooted"...it is quite precious.  Your vocabulary knows no bounds.  You are very much into repeating what you hear now.

You are mommy's little photo subject.  I love practicing my photography on you, because when I pull my camera out, you always look at me and say "cheese."  Aunt Lowa (as you call her) got Mommy at Photography Studio Starter Kit, and I am so excited!  We will be using it on a daily basis, so get ready!

You are always by my side...Mommy went through a little bit of withdrawls when you started going to the childcare room at the gym.  The first couple times you cried bloody murder, but you soon fell  inlove with the table and chairs.  They are tiny, like you, and you can get in and out of them all by yourself.  Needless to say, that is where you are everytime I come pick you up.

Your hair is getting longer...more and more curls!  My favorite days are the humid days, because your hair has so many ringlets in it!  I can almost fit it into a ponytail, but it is still too thin to stay up.

I love these pictures of you and your daddy.  You two are so special to me!  I love these "moments" we get to share together...just try and not grow up too fast!  BUT no matter how old you are, you will always be our baby.

I am The Biggest Loser

Now that I have a DVR, I have been able to watch so many more "shows" because I don't have to remember when they are on...my DVR does that for me.  One of my fav's this season is "The Biggest Loser."

Now, I have been struggling with my weight ever since I had Hadley.  I could blame it on "the baby" for a while, but I think when the baby is walking, talking, and eating table food...it's time to move on.  So I Did!

Ross and I joined a gym AND I got a personal trainer!  So exciting!  They have a perfect play area for Hadley while I am working out too!  Today was my first real session.  Oh....My....Goodness.  Let's just say I definitely felt the burn!  He may not be Bob Harper, but he's pretty darn close.

I am not going to post a "before" picture yet, because lets face it, until you have an "after" picture, the "before" just looks gross.

Next session is Friday...wish me luck!

Bedlam 2011: OSU Wins!

So in honor of Bedlam, (now that I am married to an OSU MEDICINE guy) we had some friends over for the game, and had such a wonderful time.  I feel so blessed to have these people in my life!  They are simply fabulous!

Hadley and I getting ready before the game...

I think Jai was more excited about the "Woody" hat than the game, but his daddy sure taught him right on how to cheer after a touchdown!

My Miss Aubrey...sweet little girl...

It may not be a smile, but at least their expressions are the same...  :)

Me and My Baby...

Hadley and her new found buddy Jon...

Hadley also loved the pony ride via Janelle...thank you for entertaining my daughter  :)

I love my friends!  They make life that much more sweeter!

Main Street at Christmas Time

Hadley and I started the day off at Color Me Mine.  We met some friends there and painted our own pottery.

After nap time and dinner, Ross took his girls for a night on the town.  We went to downtown Jenks, on Main Street, where they were turning on the Christmas lights for the first time tonight!  They have tons of cute antique/boutique type shops that stay open late and serve hot apple cider and cookies!

My favorite picture of Hadley from tonight!  She is such a precious little girl.

Can Your Husband Do This?

Thanksgiving this year was at my house, and I was so excited, because I love to be the hostess! Of course, I only had a table that would seat four, and that just wasn't going to do. SO, my husband offered to BUILD me a table! It is absolutely beautiful and it's exactly like the picture in my head!

Good job babe! I love how talented you are! Ross has officially built me 4 shelves, 1 huge mantel/shelf, 1 side table, 1 coffee table, and 1 dining table. (not to mention a huge work bench in the garage and shelves for all his tools) It's beautiful babe! Thank you!

Can Your Brother-In-Law Do This?

John Nathan is amazingly talented with computers/technology etc. He was gracious enough to spend his free time building me a computer...yes I said building!! So UPS dropped off several packages with nothing but ity bity parts...

John was able to take all the ity bity parts, while wearing a fabulous bracelet so not to shock himself, and put them all together in what once was an empty "tower".

The result being the most wonderful, beautiful, FAST, computer I have ever owned! I am so impressed and grateful!

Thank you John Nathan for my wonderful computer! I love it!!
